We like to go to Carnegie Deli for the great pastrami sandwiches and potato pancakes on a regular basis. I realize I can never reproduce their food, but I did manage to make some decent potato pancakes. I used some leftover mashed potatoes from our Not Thanksgiving Dinner and some very simple ingredients. They turned out yummy!

I’m also still enjoying my new passion for sewing. It took me quite some time to finish a quilt for Meg, but I was pleased with the outcome. I made a matching bolster cover and still hope to make some other throw pillows and a pillow case. As soon as it’s all done, I will post a pic.
In the meantime, I finished my first handbag tote…
I loved this project and it was such a breeze to make!
In typical Lemin Pi fashion, I gave this away to Meg’s Grandmother as a Mother’s Day prezzie.
When I make my very first of anything, I have a tendancy to give it away as a gift.
You will certainly see more totes in the future!

I graduated from an art school in Montreal. I have always loved music, and I think it has come naturally for me because my family is comprised of singers. While I studied and did some painting in school, I never spent a lot of time on it. In the last year I have started painting again and this is one of my latest creations:
Obviously it is Spring inspired. I love the vibrant colors.

I love my Cricut! I’ve made good use of it quite a bit since I got it for Christmas.

My latest hobby…
My first quilt is a baby quilt. I originally thought it was going to be big enough for a lap, but it’s worked out. My friend Deirdre had a baby girl and I will be giving this to her.
I made this one for Chris’s grandmother.
I love these labels.
I made a tote bag for the quilt as well.
It was actually surprisingly easy to make.
